JAT Fleet unveils new release at the 12th edition Fleet Conference
The JAT Fleet platform took advantage of its presence at the 2024 Fleet Conference to launch version 5.0, now with a racing-inspired style.
As is tradition, JAT Fleet took part in the Fleet Conference, held on 21st November 2024 at the Estoril Congress Centre, organised by Fleet Magazine.
This year’s event focused on electric mobility, addressing key topics such as electric and hybrid fleets, EV charging infrastructure, and fleet taxation, highlighting the challenges and trends shaping the present and future of fleet management.
In line with this evolution, JAT Fleet introduced a new module dedicated to connected vehicles, allowing fleet managers to stay connected in real time with every vehicle in their fleet, whether powered by combustion engines, electric motors, or hybrids.
Through a partnership with TARGA technology, and without requiring any additional hardware installation in vehicles, JAT Fleet offers three key categories of information: mileage, consumption, and events.
This functionality not only saves time in data collection but also enables fleet managers to correlate information from various sources. For instance, they can identify fuel discrepancies by comparing actual vehicle consumption (from connected data) with fuel card or invoice records.
Another significant benefit is the ability to manage fleets proactively. Instead of waiting for drivers to report issues requiring maintenance, managers can initiate procedures based on event alerts sent via connectivity. How often have brake discs needed replacing because repeated alerts about brake pad wear were ignored by drivers? With the new connected vehicles module, fleet managers can avoid excessive expenses like these, reduce downtime caused by maintenance, and act in advance, ensuring fleet reliability and operational quality.
This approach not only reduces costs but also boosts fleet productivity by increasing vehicle uptime.
Another exciting innovation from JAT Fleet is the ability to manage multiple cost centres across different geographic locations, with country-specific configurations for currency, VAT rates, and more – all within the same platform.
The overall balance of the Fleet Conference 2024 was extremely positive, with plenty of productive networking opportunities and enriching conversations.
One of the event’s highlights was our racing simulator, where visitors competed for the fastest lap. Equipped with motion sensors, the simulator delivered a highly realistic driving experience, generating significant enthusiasm.
The winners of this competition were rewarded with unforgettable experiences:
- 🏆 1st Place: A panoramic flight over Lisbon aboard a tourist helicopter.
- 🥈 2nd Place: A sunset yacht cruise on the Tagus River for two people.
- 🥉 3rd Place: A tour through Lisbon’s charming streets in a tuk-tuk with a tour guide.
To express our gratitude to all the clients who place their trust in JAT Fleet, we also held a prize draw for free licences. Prizes included licences for 30, 50, and even 100 vehicles, valid for one year.
Next year, JAT Fleet will undoubtedly return to the Fleet Conference, an event organised by Fleet Magazine, bringing together the leading players in fleet management in Portugal.
